Responsible Vendor Training
The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, the Morgan County District Attorney's Office and the Morgan County Substance Abuse Network, sponsor Responsible Vendor Trainings.
The trainings are focused on front-line workers - cashiers and managers - to teach proactive ways of avoiding violations and decreasing the current percentage of successful buys of alcohol and tobacco by minors.
Components of the training included:
What the law says and consequences for breaking it.
How ABC Compliance checks are conducted and what you can expect.Acceptable forms of ID and fake and/or altered ID's.
Practical techniques for determinging the legal age of a customer.
Practical techniques for refusing sales to minors.
Practical techniques for refusing sales to intoxicated customers.
Dram shop and the inherent risks in alcohol sales.
Practical techniques for managers or assisting employees.
Point-of-sales materials such as signs, counterfeit bill detectors, pens, ID Checking Guidelines and other helpful materials are provided at no charge.
There is no charge for the trainings.
