Family Support Group at MHA Office (207 Commerce Circle, SW, Decatur, Alabama)  3rd Tuesday - 7:00 PM

Dementia education and training programs for caregiving families and community and professional groups.  These education programs are based on information from the Alabama Dementia Education and Training Program (DETA) and are led by Certified Dementia Educators.

Care Consultations-Dementia Educators are available to meet with caregivers to share information about dementia, community resources, and caregiving.

To be eligible for these scholarships the recipient
Must reside in Morgan County
Must have a dementing illness
Must have a caregiver

Memories in the Making  art programs

Support for ALZ-Safe, a registry for people with dementia through the Decatur Police Department, Hartselle Police Department, and Morgan County Sheriff's Office.  Dr. Meridith Rowe, RN, PhD at the University of Florida tells how to search for people who are lost.   

The Alzheimer's Program at the Mental Health Association is a member of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
